LEXINGTON, KY – October 7, 2009 – Photo Science is pleased to announce the promotion of Gary R. Florence, to the position of Vice President at Photo Science. “Gary brings more than 25 years of experience and has managed our St. Petersburg, Florida office since its acquisition in December of 2003”, states President G. Michael Ritchie. “We are excited about Gary’s appointment to this position. He brings with him a diversified background with specialization in remote sensing, GIS and water resources management.”
Mr. Florence will continue to focus on the growth of Photo Science’s St. Petersburg, Florida office, which has become the firm’s center for remote sensing and GIS support and application development. Gary has been actively involved in numerous professional geospatial organizations, including the American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) where he is currently serving as Vice President. He has given presentations at numerous national and regional conferences. Gary holds a Masters Degree in Remote Sensing/Vegetation Survey from the International Institute for Aerial Space Survey and Earth Sciences. Further, he is a licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper in the State of Florida, a certified Land Surveyor Photogrammetrist in the State of Virginia, a Registered Professional Photogrammetrist in the State of Oregon, a licensed Photogrammetric Surveyor in the State of South Carolina and is an ASPRS Certified Photogrammetrist.
