As an integral part of any photogrammetric mapping
project, Photo Science utilizes both conventional and softcopy
analytical aerial triangulation methods and techniques to determine
the position and rotation angles of each acquired aerial
photos and to establish their relationship to the ground. Once
this operation is complete, other photogrammetric operations such
as stereo compilation and orthophoto generation can be accomplished
from the photography.
Photo Science performs conventional aerotriangulation
calculations utilizing one of the leading analytical triangulation
programs available in the mapping industry, Albany Analytical
Block Aerial Triangulation and Bundle Refinement software. Albany
has the capability to perform simultaneous adjustments on as many
as 4,000 photos and independent models within a block.
Additionally, Photo Science also provides softcopy
analytical aerotriangulation services utilizing a variety of commercial
off-the-shelf photogrammetric solutions. This state-of-the-art
technology provides inherent cost savings over conventional analytical
aerial triangulation methods, offering extremely accurate, end-to-end
solutions for stereo feature extraction and digital orthophoto
production.
