In addition to our traditional photographic laboratory services, Photo Science provides high-resolution, photogrammetric quality scanning capable for digitizing color, color infrared, and black-and-white photos. Photo Science owns and operates Vexcel and Z/I high-resolution image scanners, the most state-of-the-art scanners in the photogrammetric marketplace today. They are capable of bearing multiple resolutions from 7.5 microns to 20 microns. Additionally, these scanners can operate as roll-feed or with single or dual film diapositives.

Photo Science also provides automated image dodging, which is designed to read the density of each negative or film positive and adjust the color or tonal balance evenly throughout the resulting scanned image. This is accomplished by pre-scanning a negative to characterize the density range of the image before final scanning occurs; therefore, allowing for better control of the final scanned image product.
